"I have the world's largest collection of seashells. I keep it scattered on beaches all over the world. Maybe you've seen some of it?"
Welcome to the Website of the St. Petersburg Shell Club!
The St. Pete Shell Club was formed over 70 years ago to promote shell collecting, marine conservation and the study of malacology. Our club meetings provide a fun environment for meeting other shell enthusiasts, learning about the latest advances in malacology, and sharing of knowledge. We have numerous other events during the year as well, including our Shell Show in February, field trips to local shelling areas, picnics, and a holiday dinner.
Meetings are held on the second Friday of the month at the Science Center of Pinellas County, at 7701 22nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg. (The Science Center is located a few blocks west of the Tyrone Square Mall). The meeting starts at 7:30, and the public is invited.
